Louisville, KY (April 25, 2019) – 21c Museum Hotels, the award-winning Louisville-based boutique hotel, contemporary art museum, and restaurant group, announced today the appointment of Cody DeRosett as executive chef of its Lexington restaurant, Lockbox, located in 21c Museum Hotel Lexington (167 West Main Street, Lexington, KY). DeRossett previously served as executive sous chef.
Kentucky native Cody DeRosett cut his teeth at Lexington staples Bellini’s and Dudley’s on Short. In 2015, he joined the 21c team as a line cook at Proof on Main, the acclaimed restaurant at 21c Museum Hotel Louisville, and was eventually promoted to sous chef. He returned to Lexington in 2016 to join the opening team at Lockbox, where he quickly rose through the ranks to become executive sous chef. DeRosett’s menu at Lockbox celebrates Southern cuisine and the preservation of the season’s finest ingredients from around the Bluegrass region.
