Month-long Bourbon Heritage Month celebration features Bourbon Dinner with 1792 Bourbon

It’s no secret that there are more Bourbon barrels in Kentucky than there are people which is a perfect excuse for Kentuckians to drink Bourbon anytime. 21c Lexington and Lockbox will invite bourbon enthusiasts and bourbon newbies alike to celebrate the rich Kentucky Bourbon heritage throughout Bourbon Heritage Month this September. The celebrations will kick off with a collaborative dinner featuring John Hargrove of 1792 Bourbon held on Thursday, September 7 at 6:30 p.m.

1792 Bourbon Master Distiller John Hargrove will lead a presentation on each bourbon as it is paired with dishes crafted by Executive Chef Jonathan Searle. The four-course dinner will kick off with a cocktail reception of passed canapés. Each course is paired with a Bourbon cocktail. Featured menu items include:

  • Green Tomato Hand Pie with house boursin and heirloom tomato sour cream
  • Braised Pork Shank with stewed tomatoes, blistered okra, summer squash and rice grits
  • Sweet Corn Panna Cotta with bourbon peach preserves, pecan brittle and sweet cream whip

“Any chance I can get to celebrate Kentucky is a win for me,” said Searle. “I love Bourbon for its richness, warmth and tradition, which coincidently are the things I love about Kentucky culture.”

Tickets to the 1792 Bourbon Fork + Bottle dinner are $70 per person.
